It’s good to be young! Join all the little ones for the Little Buggers Kids Triathlon. Swim in Corcoran's Pond, bike on a nice, flat road, and run the beginning and end portions of the adult tris, then finish under the grand Black Fly Finish arch that all the old folks do! This is a non-competitive, fun event for all young’uns, age 6-12. When you cross the finish line, be sure to receive your medal! All kids registered by June 6, 2012 will also receive a special Little Buggers Kids Tri T-shirt. A special podium will be set up, to snap pics of your child with their finisher medal.

If you have younger children (4-5 years old) who you'd like to accompany during the Little Buggers Kids Triathlon, you are more than welcome to swim, bike, and run with them. We ask that you begin following all kids who will be participating on their own.

For those inclined to “rough it”, the White Mountain National Campground is also located just a stone’s throw from Town Square.

Little Buggers starts at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 7, at Town Square in Waterville Valley , NH . No rain date. Race management reserves the right to modify or shorten the race course in the case of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, and to accept or reject any entry. No transfers, substitutions. The minimum age to join the fun is 6 years old. Children younger than 6 may participate if accompanied by an adult.

The swim will be 25 yards, in calm, clear Corcoran's Pond. Lifeguards will be on hand to help the kiddos out. It is a time trial start, with each child starting individually. We'll start each child at approximately 5 second intervals.

The 1.5 mile bike is an out and back course, and will go by Snow's Mountain, surrounded by the majestic 4000 foot peaks of the White Mountain National Forest. The road is flat, and in excellent condition.

After you finish the run, head on out for the .5 mile run, that will take you on Village Road, passing the Black Bear Lodge and Snowy Owl Inn. After the turnaround, you're on your way home: The Black Fly Tri Finish Line, located right next to Town Square!

Join in the spirit, and see which team brings it's "A" game! We'll be awarding the following:

1. Team/Club Participation Award (Most Members Racing for the entire weekend): $200.00
2. Team/Club Tent Award (Best Team Tailgaiting Tent with Decorations): $100.00

Make sure when you register for the race, you include your team name if you’ll be part of the team competition.

Registration and packet pickup will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 7, at Town Square.

Rubber Ducky, you're the one, you make bathtime so much fun! Be sure to place your bets on your duck, or purchase multiple DUCK BUCKS, to benefit Make A Wish of NH. The first annual Make A Wish Rubber Ducky Race will take place Saturday afternoon, at Town Square. We'll send the ducks down the raging whitewater. The first duck across the finish line wins! If your DUCK BUCK number matches the number on your duck, you win! The winner will win Mavic Race wheels, and a bunch of other great schwag! All of the proceeds go directly to the Make A Wish of New Hampshire. DUCK BUCKS may be purchased online with your entry or at the Make A Wish Booth at the Black Fly Village.
You'll be able to decorate your duck to prep for the big race, too!

Download Black Fly, print him out and give him some color! Bring him with you to the race and recieve a special gift!

It's great to be a kid....It's not so great to be a kid watching adults run around in spandex. To make the kiddos feel at home, we'll be offering a bunch of activities for them. There will be arts and crafts and more. There will also be a coloring contest, so make sure your kids stop by and color in Buzz the Black Fly!

In addition, there will be a special pie-eating contest for the kids, to take place right before the awards. Sign up at the Kids Zone.

In addition, be on the lookout for Bonk The Moose, who'll be handing out Black Fly Bucks, to be redeemed at the Kids Zone for special gifts!

Don't miss the fireworks presentation at 8:45pm Saturday evening, right in Town Square! A great way to end the day!

Join us for a bonfire on the beach, Friday evening from 7-9 PM. Right outside your hotel room, complete with s'mores, music and more!
